Hello Montgomery. I really enjoyed your performance at the Golden Apple on Saturday night. Your energy and passion are really something to behold! I have seen many songwriters perform and I wanted to tell you that you are simply one of the best in form, content and ability to entertain, thoroughly entertain, an audience. Bravo! Monty,
It was great to see you again last week. Thanks for the schedule. Soledad and I will do our best to make it down to see and hear you. Remember, your album was the first real music that my first born, Isabela, has ever heard. She's 5 now and hasn't recovered from that experience yet, but therapy has been helpful. :o) Be safe!
See you soon,
Cheers,
Joe

P.S. I was reading your guest comments and saw John Underkofler's name. Small world....

Hi, Monty -
Just saw the notice for last Friday's concert in Lake Katonah - wish we could have been there! Let me know where you're playing next. This coming Saturday we're presenting Sloan Wainwright at the Good Folk... Did you get wind of the Dave on Dave CD by David Massengill, a tribute to Dave Van Ronk? I heard a few cuts from it on the radio and it blew me away!
Hope to catch you around one of these days.
Peace be with you...
Bill (and Brandi)

Hello Montgomery! I was a fly on the wall at the John Street jam a few weeks ago and just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your performance there. Even with a scratchy throat, you were so poignant and entertaining. It was a great piece of showmanship for you to sing likw that while you were obviously so ill. I do hope that you are feeling better and I am looking forward to catching you at the Colony in Woodstock next month.

You are a trooper!

Kevin Cronin

October 5, 2007

Hey buddy...When I read these comments from the fine folks that listen to you I am truly happy for you and what you represent. You are so deserving of the praise you get because you truly are one of the finest writers around. Your performances are passionate too...and besides all that good stuff you're just a damned good guy! You keep on conquering listeners!
Talk to you soon!

I was driving the other day, and bits of a song came into my head 'bout "walking, walking..." I knew used to listen to it on a cassette at work. So, today, I dug out a case of cassettes I had there, and rediscovered "Walking in the Light". I listened to the entire album - made me feel 10 years younger.

I saw you at the Brokerage in Bellmore, Long Island. While working at a local radio station, I MC'd a show where you opened for Aztec Two Step.

Really glad I rediscovered you - gonna order some new stuff. Happy to see you going strong. Peace....... Ken

Montgomery Delaney! Phenomenal blending of words & music, beautifully passionate, sometimes haunting, singing style, and an awesome live performer--these are the things I keep telling my friends when they visit and say "who's that you're listening to?" Must be hard to stay right size with praises such as these! Leave NY for the wilds of Western Mass. and you'll have a ready made audience!
