In my musical travels I have had the pure privilege to meet so many amazing minstrels. Kim and Reggie Harris are amongst the most gifted and blessed that I have ever known. Thier songs and stories bring history and hope alive, with passion and poignance. They have touched my musical soul every time I have had the pleasure of hearing them over the years. I am so pleased and proud to share my secret with a house full of friends, some old, some new.

As usual, the catered food is on me and all of the proceeds go to the artists.

On Saturday, October 2, 2010, I am pleased and proud to announce the inaugural event of the Lake Katonah "Musical Evenings" Series, featuring an evening with multiple award winning songwriter, CHUCK E. COSTA. ( www.chuckecosta.com )

My neighbors and I are hoping to bring some very wonderful performances to the Lake Katonah Lake House in the months and years to come. It is my hope that in doing so we will not only expand the audience for Adult Contemporary Music, but also build greater community between neighbors, friends and fans.

The suggested donation will compensate the artists who will come to share their individual gifts with us and also support the use of this beautiful venue as we go forward with our series.

The venue can accommodate about 100 people. The setting is intimate and warm. Refreshments will be served at each musical evening and we will encourage pot-luck contributions from our neighbors and guests.

The second musical evening is scheduled for Saturday, November 6, 2010. We will call this a "Lake Katonah Jam Session" This will be an evening "In The Round" featuring three unique and talented songwriters..The incomparable Mr. ANSEL MATTHEWS ( www.anselmatthews.com ) will be joining me along with one other writer (TBA).

Seating is limited so please make your reservations by e mailing me at monty@montgomerydelaney.com....all shows will begin at 8PM....doors open at 7PM...seating is random...so come early, eat, meet and and get a good seat!

If you have never visited this beautiful gem of a setting in Ossining, NY....you simply must during the fall festival. There is a small zoo there which houses wounded indigenous birds and other small creatures. There are a number of hiking trails and the foliage is to die for in October!

It will be a stunning day of spirit and song. There are a number of artists performing. Bring the kids and a picnic lunch! It is right off of the Taconic. You can get directions at the website by clicking around up above...

The one, The only (Thank God), the incredibly, gifted, funny, irreverent and BOLD MR. ERIC SCHWARTZ is stopping by Monty's Room for a little Thanksgiving and laughter.

I don't agree with just about any of the politics in Eric's ingenious work, HOWEVER, I totally love and respect him not only for singing his truth but for the incredible musical talent that he is....you Libs are gonna love him....you Hawks are gonna love him too! He is just "the Schwartz" and may the Schwartz be with us all on this great night in November.
